In this series of articles, the writer, Kevin, introduces to you what people are eating at Eva’s.
Did you know the restaurant where you love to eat has been a destination for many celebrities over the years? It’s no wonder because Eva’s is committed to serving food that tastes good and is good for you, avoiding heavily fried foods, using butter to cook, or heaps of artificial sweeteners and salt. Taking a stand has earned the trust of patrons from all walks of life. Professional athletes, TV stars, and even celebrities who have made it to the big screen have been seen at Eva’s over its 30 year plus history.
Recently, AnnaSophia Robb, star of such movies as The Bridge to Terabithia and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, came to Eva’s with a group of other actresses and actors. Each of them had a slice of Eva’s Famous Frosted Carrot Cake.
First of all, it isn’t just carrot cake; it’s REAL carrot cake. There are very few carrot cakes out there where you can actually see that you’re eating carrot, but in Eva’s carrot cake, bits and pieces of orange are spread evenly throughout the sponge-like whole of the cake.
Besides being heavenly moist, the carrots add a bit of crunch to contrast with the soft, pillow-like texture of the cake.
Of course, the best part of the cake is the outer edge, where the edge of the cake is lined with a thin layer of oh-so-delicious frosting.
On the menu along with the real delicious carrot cake, Eva’s also has an amazing apple pie, a delightful banana sweet potato pie, and a crunchy pecan pie. You wouldn’t expect to have the best dessert ever in Eva’s, but trust me, you will!
